A church for believers following the way
of King Jesus in all of life, for all of life.
Roosevelt Baptist Church is a church under the lordship of King Jesus. This church believes that the Scriptures are its final authority in faith and practice. Additionally, this church confesses the Nicene Creed as accurate representations of the essential doctrines of the Scripture’s teaching. Further, we align ourselves with Gospel-Centered and Baptistic Church Practices the foundational doctrines within The Nicene Creed represent what we believe to be core elements of biblical teaching. We expect all members of Roosevelt Baptist Church to confess these doctrines.
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
Maker of Heaven and Earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only begotten Son of God,
begotten from the Father before all worlds
God from God
Light from Light
true God from true God
begotten, not made;
of the same Being as the Father;
through Him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
He came down from heaven,
He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and from the Virgin Mary
and became truly human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the Giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
Our church's core values are what defines us of what we think and believe matters most about following Jesus together as a church community. These core values define our vision and mission and what Roosevelt Baptist Church is all about.
Our Calling:
To follow the way together as apprentices of King Jesus in all of life for all of life
Our Core Values:
Gospel. Apprenticeship. Fellowship. Mission
.
Gospel:
Preaching the story of King Jesus for all to bend the knee to Him
Apprenticeship:
Following and Practicing the way of King Jesus
Fellowship:
Doing life together in friendship with King Jesus
Mission:
Seeking the Kingdom in Roosevelt as it is in Heaven
At Roosevelt Baptist Church, We believe that King Jesus has designed His church to be led by a team of pastors who will guide the church in living as apprentices of Jesus together. Pastors are called by the King to serve the local church in a variety of ways, but their main function is to “shepherd the flock of God” (1 Peter 5:1-5). As shepherd leaders, we believe pastors are called to know, feed, lead, and protect the sheep that the Chief Shepherd–Jesus–has entrusted to their care. At Roosevelt Baptist Church, our pastors are passionate about shepherding and getting to know people on a one-on-one basis. If you’d like to connect with one of them, please reach out! They’d love to buy you lunch and hear your story!
